Your contribution to China’s One-Child Policy (Even if you didn’t know it)

by Steven Mosher Co-authored with Anne Roback Morse July 5, 2013 (POP) - Two weeks ago, the US State Department ranked China as one of the worst countries in the world for sex-trafficking, giving the one-child policy as the root cause. This analysis is spot on. It is because of the one-child policy that Chinese parents…

by Ben Johnson BEIJING, May 31, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Thanks to a gaping gender imbalance caused by decades of sex-selective abortion, getting married in modern China may cost men in some cities ten years’ income or more. No charge against Chinese mother of baby left to die in sewer

I wrote about this cute little baby the other day who was tragically left for dead in a sewer pipe in China after his mother gave birth to him. Thankfully he survived and is alive and well after he was removed and taken to the hospital. Sadly the mother won’t be charged for what she did to him and will be given custody of the baby, along with the man claiming to be the father! She claims the baby accidentally fell into the toilet??!! No way! Then why didn’t she get help when it happened?!

I can appreciate her coming forward to claim the baby after abandoning him for dead, but what she did was attempted murder and neglect and she should be charged accordingly. I can’t believe they are going to give her and the supposed father custody!!?

China Infant In Sewer
In this still image made from video from May 25, 2013, a baby who was rescued after being trapped in a sewage pipe just below a squat toilet in a public building, lies on a bed at a hospital in Jinhua city, eastern China.

“BEIJING (AP) — Authorities have concluded that a newborn rescued from a sewer pipe in eastern China became trapped because of an accident. They say there will be no criminal charges against the mother — who did not initially come forward to claim the baby.

They also say the baby has been released from a hospital into the care of the mother and a man claiming to be his father.

An official at eastern China’s Pujiang county’s propaganda office said Thursday that police concluded the unwed woman did not initially step forward out of fright. The official did not give his name, as is common among Chinese bureaucrats.

The unnamed woman secretly delivered the child Saturday in a rental building’s restroom. She later claimed the infant accidentally slipped into the squat toilet.”

Mom dies after forced abortion at six months in China: report

by John Jalsevac Yuyue, Hubei, May 29, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In the wake of the heartbreaking story about how a newborn baby in China was rescued after apparently being flushed down a public toilet and becoming lodged in a sewage pipe, comes a report that a woman has died after being forced to abort by Chinese family…

OMG! Thank God He was found!Newborn rescued from sewage pipe!

Thank God people heard the baby crying and they were able to locate him in the sewer pipe alive!! How cruel and evil can people be. Of course this is China where forced abortions are common and families are limited to two children each unless given permission to have another. This was a little boy, which are considered wanted in China where gendercide is common among female infants, but not if you already have two children. How sad that anyone could do something like this to hide their pregnancy/newborn and leave them for dead. May he live a long and healthy life and find a loving, forever family despite having to grow up in China.

CHINA (CCTV/CNN) - Firefighters in east China’s Zhejiang Province rescued a newborn infant from sewage pipe on Saturday afternoon.
The infant was found in the toilet sewage pipe in a residential building in the city of Jinhua.
Residents in the building reported to firefighting department that they heard baby crying in the toilet of the fourth floor.
Local firefighters soon rushed to the site to rescue the infant, who was later found, a newborn boy with his placenta uncut.
After cutting down the sewage pipe, firefighters sent the infant, still covered by the pipe, to the nearest Pujiang County Hospital where they took away the pipe piece by piece with the help of doctors, using a saw and pincer pliers.
