Fall Radiothon Thanks and Final Report

September 15, 2010

Message from Dave Palmer, General Manager at Guadalupe Radio Network- North Texas

grnThanks to everyone who contributed to the success of last week’s KATH 910 AM ‘Faith Comes By Hearing’ Fall Radiothon on the Guadalupe Radio Network. We were greatly blessed due to God’s Grace and your Support!

We appreciate all who prayed for the Radiothon. Many of you told us that you offered up Masses, Rosaries, Divine Mercy Chaplets and hours of Adoration for the success of the Radiothon.  The prayers were answered and felt!

Thanks to the 742 of you who called in with donations and pledges during the four day Radiothon with total donations of approximately $226,000.  If you listened to the end of the Radiothon on Friday, you’ll know it was quite an exciting finish!  In fact, last Friday was our best single day of a Radiothon for North Texas in the past year and a half.  We appreciate your generosity!

Despite the blessings of the Fall Radiothon, the challenges continue.  To fulfill all of our financial obligations for North Texas over the next six months, we would have needed to raise $325,000 during the Fall Radiothon.   Bad weather and other hardships the first two days caused us to get off to a very slow start.

So, if you did not get a chance to call to make a donation last week, please click on the Donate Now link below  -  it is a simple secure process.

DONATE NOW

We are grateful to all who who made one time donations of $1,400 to become eligible for the 13 day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.  We will draw the winner later this year once the GRN Fall Radiothon season is completed and we’ll contact the winner at that time (and announce the winner’s name on line and on air!)

Congratulations to Our Lady of Lebanon parish in Lewisville for winning the ‘Live Remote Broadcast’ contest last Thursday evening.  We’ll soon arrange for a free live remote broadcast at the event of the parish’s choice.

Thanks to the many volunteers who came to our studio to answer phone calls during the Radiothon.  Thanks also to the restaurants and individuals who provided meals and the generous people and businesses who offered Matching Gifts which were a very important part of the success of the Radiothon.

We are very grateful for the Sacrifice you make to keep Catholic Radio on the air across North Texas.  KATH 910 AM could not remain on the air without the support of all of you who work behind the scenes with little thanks so that the Truth of the Catholic Faith can be broadcast to millions of potential listeners every day, all day.

I hope you continue to enjoy the programming on the Guadalupe Radio Network. If you have any questions of comments, please do not hesitate to call or email me any time.

May God continue to bless you and your family,

Dave Palmer
