YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY SUMMER INTERN
Young Adult Ministry, FT Intern
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (Washington, DC)
The Youth & Young Adult Ministry Intern contributes to the mission of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops by supporting the work of the Secretariat of Laity, Marriage, Family Life and Youth, in particular its work with youth and young adult ministry. The intern will have opportunities to enrich his or her academic program or career preparation through providing staff support for the USCCB’s youth and young adult ministry initiatives and projects, conducting research, and developing a national network of youth and young adult ministry leaders.
Weekly Commitment: 35 hours/week
Requirements are as follow:
Minimum Undergraduate experience required (sophomore and up); Graduate level. Major in the following: theology, religious studies, pastoral ministry, or in particular, youth and/or young adult ministry.
Language not required; however, a basic knowledge of Spanish is a plus. Excellent writing, editing and communication skills. Familiarity with social media, websites, and other digital tools, Microsoft Office programs. Previous research and administrative experience with a minimum of one year working or volunteering in any of the above fields.
