JOB DESCRIPTION FOR VOCATION COORDINATOR FOR THE U.S. TERRITORY OF THE AUGUSTINIANS OF THE ASSUMPTION

The Vocation Coordinator is entrusted with the promotion of vocations for the Augustinians of the Assumption for the U.S. Territory. The coordinator is accountable to the vocation director.

The Vocation Coordinator is a full-time employee with competitive salary and benefits, with flexible hours, including travel, meetings, events and office work (equaling forty hours per week.) He/she will attend national and regional conferences meetings on a regular basis.

The Vocation Coordinator will visit each community on regular basis for vocation promotion activities and communicate with those responsible for vocation efforts in the Province.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF VOCATION COORDINATOR INCLUDE:
- manage vocation social media
- vocation information on the website
- manage vocation calendar of events, programs etc.
- production of promotion/marketing materials
- assist vocation committee in organizing vocation events – reporting to vocation committee
- assist Director of Vocations to schedule regular meetings and plan agenda (ex. gather meeting of young Assumptionists)
- organize discernment and recollection days in collaboration with Director of Vocations
-collaborate and attend events at the parish, college, campus ministry, Assumptionist Center and local houses
- promote and participate in vocation workshops and seminars
- network with various ethnic communities with regard to vocations
- maintain membership in national vocation publications
- promotion and networking with dioceses
- responsible for budgeting and financial expenses
- network with other Assumptionist volunteer programs

QUALIFICATIONS:
- practicing Catholic
- knowledge of consecrated life in general
- knowledge of Catholic social teaching, awareness of social justice issues and sensitivity
to the roles that laity and religious play in the Church
- experience of having worked with young adults preferred
- college degree in relevant field: Religious Studies, Psychology, Theology, Education,
etc.
- excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- computer literate: able to produce attractive materials and keep the vocation website
updated
- leadership ability and dynamism
- creative and resourceful
- ability to deal effectively with conflict and work as a team player
- flexibility in dealing with changing environments and ability to seek creative solutions
- commitment to service and openness to other cultures
- multi-lingual preferred
- availability for travel
- ability to network within the province and beyond with other congregations

FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS
- salary – in the range of $40,000
- travel reimbursements; including the use of a car
