VICE-PRESIDENT ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Full time chief academic officer, reporting to the President, has the responsibility for all academic matters including curriculum, degree programs and development, academic planning and assessment, including student learning outcomes and student academic success, and faculty recruitment and development. Responsible for Registrar’s office, Student Support Services, including tutoring services and advising, and Library services. The VPAA serves as a member on the Executive Council and works with the Faculty Government through the process of shared governance.
Candidate for this position will embrace teaching and learning not only in the traditional models, but be comfortable through experience and success with online, hybrid, and competency-based education models as they grow and develop as delivery systems. Must be an experienced academic leader with an earned doctorate or other terminal degree, significant administrative experience in higher education, a distinguished record as a teacher and scholar, experience in the development and administration of curriculum, budget, personnel, academic governance, academic planning, a knowledge of both regional and program accreditation processes, and a strong commitment to the Mission, Vision and Core Values of St. Catharine College, including the Four Dominican Pillars.
