Express Employment Professionals has been retained by The Diocese of Manchester to recruit a Superintendent of Catholic Schools.
The Superintendent of Catholic Schools provides administrative and managerial services to support, promote, and advance the ministry of Catholic school education in the Diocese of Manchester, where there are 23 elementary and secondary parish and diocesan schools and 5 elementary and secondary schools recognized by the Bishop as Catholic. In addition to managerial responsibilities, the Superintendent will lead a major strategic planning process to ensure the long-term health and vitality of the Catholic schools. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational, passionate advocate for Catholic education; demonstrate a complex understanding of the issues, challenges, and opportunities present in Catholic schools today; demonstrate leadership skills that inspire and engage others to include success with leading a major long-term strategic plan; and demonstrate skills in oral and written communication and conflict resolution.
Candidates for the position must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree in educational administration or a related content area, but a PhD is preferred, and must be certified by the NH Department of Education as a Superintendent or be capable of being certified within a reasonable time. Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of successful experience as a superintendent or assistant superintendent, preferably in a Catholic school system, and must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Roman Catholic Church.
