The Pines Catholic Camp, one of the largest Catholic Camps in the country, located in the heart of the East Texas is seeking a highly-qualified candidate to serve as its full time Summer Program Director. This individual must be faith-filled leader with a desire to challenge other staff to foster spiritual growth in young people and help them to see their important place in the Church and the world.
Year-round duties include, but are not limited to: assisting the Camp Director in creating new programming, recruiting summer campers and staff, interviewing and hiring staff, assisting our Year Round Program Director with retreats, and waterfront and challenge course management. Summer camp duties include, but are not limited to: collaborating with the Camp Director in the training and supervision of senior staff, counseling staff, and support staff, direction of counselor-in-training programming, and our service work week program.
Candidates should have: a very strong, positive relationship with the Catholic Church, a bachelor’s degree, camp administrative experience, preferably with similar programming as at The Pines, EMT certification or a willingness to work towards certification. We are looking for excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills. This position requires an individual that is able to work long hours on your feet, working though physical, spiritual and emotional exhaustion for the sake of the Kingdom. Compensation will include annual salary, on-site housing for a single person, benefit package including health and PTO, and opportunities for spiritual growth. Duties will be assumed in August, possibly with an opportunity to start in late July to shadow our current Summer Program Director.
