Theology of the Body Evangelization Team, Inc. (Irving, TX)
Position will report to and work closely with the Director of Operations. The Stewardship Coordinator will be responsible for three primary activities: building donor relationships, organizing fundraising events, and developing corporate sponsorships. Ability to network and communicate basic concepts of the Theology of the Body is essential for success in this position. These three primary responsibilities are further detailed below.
Donor Relationships and Corporate Sponsorships
Securing one-time large donations and increasing ongoing monthly donations are imperative for the success of TOBET. The Stewardship Coordinator will be responsible for initiating and maintaining positive relationships with current donors, parents, individuals, corporations, executives, and members of TOBET’s Executive Board while simultaneously emphasizing and promoting TOBET’s vital mission. Maintaining frequent communication with donors (individual and corporate), the person in this position will be instrumental in all efforts to express gratitude and communicate progress/success/needs of organization to said donors. The Stewardship Coordinator will also play an integral role in facilitating the growth of an Advisory Board. This task will encompass extensive research on potential Advisory Board members and on organizations with which potential members are affiliated, as well as developing creative ways to initiate those relationships.
The Stewardship Coordinator will manage and execute at least three major fundraising events and six small awareness events per year. Tasks will involve brainstorming and creating ideas for events, engaging donor participation, managing implementation, working with vendors, scheduling, acquiring sponsors, and facilitating the participation of TOBET volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, organized, and have a 4-year degree and preferably 2-5 years of experience in raising funds and developing donor relationships. Candidate should also possess the following:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong relationship-building skills
• Disposition of integrity and high ethical standards
• Ability to manage projects and be receptive to input and feedback
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments simultaneously, as well as volunteers
• Willingness to travel 25%
• Basic understanding of the theology of the body is a plus, but not required (0)
