Stewardship Communications Sales Manager
The Stewardship Communication Sales Manager will be responsible for attaining the retention and growth of LPi’s customer base by establishing the region’s overall direction and providing direct leadership to the region’s eight Stewardship Communication Consultants (SCC).
Liturgical Publications, Inc., the national leader in the publication of weekly bulletins and monthly newsletters (primarily for parishes and senior community centers) has been in business for over 40yrs with over 4000 accounts. An internal promotion has created this opportunity in our New Berlin, WI headquarters.
Stewardship Communication Sales Manager Responsibilities include:
•Establishing and implementing a business plan, budget, and objectives for the Stewardship function
•Coaching, counseling, and managing the performance of the (SCC’s)
•Working with the SCC’s to evaluate financial viability of contracts and developing corrective actions when required to meet LPi profit expectations.
•Act as the liaison to the Ad Sales and Operations areas collaboratively to drive profitable growth.
•Facilitate innovation and continuous improvement in the Stewardship Communications area.
•Monitor competitive activity and develop strategic plans to capture competitor accounts.
The ideal candidate for this position must have an in-depth knowledge of the LPi sales process, print center operations and capabilities, and LPi cost structure. In addition, the successful candidate will need:
•Five years sales experience with some management experience, directing activities and staff.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience preferred.
•Demonstrated leadership skills, along with the ability to coach and develop others.
•Experience with profit-loss responsibility as it relates to selling.
•Strong oral and written communication skills and the willingness to collaborate with customers, other center managers and corporate marketing. Must have the ability to establish goals and solve problems.
•A “do whatever it takes” mindset and corresponding energy level.
•The ability to lead innovation and establish an environment of continuous improvement
•A solid grounding in business, particularly from a financial perspective, and the ability to understand the future implications of today’s decisions.
•Demonstrated ability to utilize Salesforce.com, Microsoft Suite Products and other software programs.
•Previous experience with communication tools: ad sales, stewardship, church sales or printed publications (bulletins & newsletters) and church hierarchy is desirable.
Field travel is necessary to train and or work with SCC’s on a regular basis. Travel will include visits to key accounts and other LPi centers. Travel may be 60% of your time but could be greater.
