St. Croix Catholic School (Stillwater, MN)

The Spanish teacher at St. Croix Catholic School would be expected to instruct children in the Spanish language and culture. Lesson plans should incorporate a variety of learning styles and meet the needs of each student in the classroom. The classroom atmosphere should be one in which each child’s personal dignity is respected and bullying is not tolerated. Our Spanish program is a spiralled program beginning in Kindergarten through 5th grade with the 8th grade year being an immersion year learning Spanish every day and counting as a Spanish I high school course.

Qualifications
The applicant should have and maintain a current Minnesota teaching license. It is important that the applicant have and uphold a commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church and St. Croix Catholic School. He/she should possess an ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration as well as an ability to work with others to maintain a collegial atmosphere in and out of the classroom.

Competency on SmartBoard technology is important or the openness and ability to learn this technology quickly. Fluency in the Spanish language would be expected.
