Position Title: Safe Environment Program Coordinator
This position is responsible for ensuring Diocesan-wide training and educational compliance with the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
Communicate Diocesan and Charter directives related to policy and practice for maintaining a safe environment for minors and vulnerable adults.
Oversee implementation of training curriculum for learners preschool to elementary, high school and adult.
Serve as key resource to all Diocesan parishes/schools to ensure understanding and compliance with Diocesan policy and procedure, the Charter, and Missouri law as it relates to the protection of minors and vulnerable adults.
Update all Safe Environment documentation, reference and educational material, and ensure appropriate distribution, including posting on the Diocesan website.
Assist department Director with on-site audits and implement appropriate response to identified compliance issues related to training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Design and deliver training programs tailored to adult learners. Includes train-the-trainer responsibilities.
Problem-solve using known solutions through deductive reasoning.
Build collaborative relationships with business partners and constituents.
Manage projects on time and within budget parameters.
Undergraduate degree in closely related field, or equivalent education/experience.
Three (3) years program management experience.
Three (3) years presentation, facilitation and/or consulting experience.
Intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ethical standards, personal integrity, and conduct consistent with the morals and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Intermediate skills in project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
