St. Paul on the Lake Catholic School (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI)

St. Paul Catholic School seeks a committed Catholic educator to serve as principal.
The school presently serves 463 students in grades pre-K through 8.
The candidate must have skills in curriculum development, teacher supervision and Catholic school financial practices.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Be a practicing Catholic who is able to provide a letter of recommendation from his/her parish pastor.
* Hold a Master’s degree or higher from an approved program in Educational Administration offered by an institute of higher education.
* The basic endorsement for a school administrator certificate is Elementary/Secondary Administrator K-12. A Catholic Principal, assistant Catholic Principal or other person whose primary responsibility is administering instructional programs employed as a school administrator after January 4, 2010 must hold a valid Administrator certificate in accordance with SB-981.
* A school administrator who was employed as a school administrator on or before January 4, 2010 does not need to hold the Administrator certificate for their current position but must meet the same continuing education requirements as described in the renewal policy for the Professional Education teaching certificate, every five years after initial date of employment.
* Hold currently valid Michigan teacher certification
* Hold catechist formation certification as directed by the Department of Evangelization, Catechesis and Schools. Certification from another diocese will be reviewed during application process.
* Be able to provide evidence of three years of successful teaching experience.
* Be able to meet any other local requirements pertinent to the available administration position. (107)
