St. Louise de Marillac School is seeking an innovative and vibrant leader to guide our school as it becomes a premier 21st century institution of Catholic education.
We are a suburban community located in the East San Gabriel Valley city of Covina within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Our school has a rich tradition of providing a faith-centered education that uses a well-rounded curriculum to produce students who matriculate with skillsets that prepare them to be successful throughout life.
With an emphasis on faith, language, arts, science, math, technology and extra-curricular activities, St. Louise serves students from pre- kindergarten through eighth grade.
Applicants must be committed to the ideals of Catholic education Previous administrative experience in a Catholic school setting is preferred. Excellent communication and relational skills, and the ability to work with a variety of constituencies are required. Understanding of the rapidly changing education environment and the role of technology integration in a 21st century classroom is necessary. A collaborative nature and understanding of the working relationship between pastor and principal, as well as a parish and parochial school is essential.
Qualified applicants must be a practicing Catholic, possess a Master’s degree, and hold a teaching or administrative credential. Position is available July 1, 2013. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
