Saint Patrick Parish, Hudson, WI, is seeking a Principal for its Catholic School which provides education to 300 children age 3 through grade 8. The Principal is considered a key leader within the Parish Community, who works with the school staff, pastor, associate pastor, and entire parish staff to promote the mission and vision of the parish. The primary responsibilities include accountability for the success and long term viability of our school, serving as the chief administrator and leader in fostering a Catholic environment that promotes the formation of disciples, development of the whole student, strong academics, vision and innovation, and promoting a positive/safe/caring community.

Job Description:

-Provide strong leadership in achieving the mission of Saint Patrick Parish and School
-Promote the continued spiritual growth of students and staff and assure that an environment proper to a Catholic school be evident in the conduct of students, staff, school environment, and at school sponsored events
-Lead teachers and support staff in such a way so all possess a sense of being valued, appreciated, informed, and supported while being held accountable to ensure good morale among the staff and advancement of the goals and objectives of the school, which includes providing regular evaluations of school staff and assisting staff with development of professional goals and objectives
-Assess the school’s needs, evaluate effectiveness of practices, develop school improvement plans, and establish operational procedures
-Attain school enrollment goals by meeting with prospective families, working with a Director of Development and Stewardship, guiding a school marketing committee, and representing the school at parish and community events
-Plan and lead as appropriate staff meetings, meetings with students and parents, in-services for staff, and Committee of Education meetings
-Maintain regular communication with families, parish, diocese, public school district, and other private schools
-Recruit, interview, and consult with the pastor regarding the contracting of teachers and hiring of staff
-Collaborate with the Parish Finance Director in preparing and managing the school budget including supporting fundraising efforts and regular giving to the school
-Assure compliance with Diocesan Policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

-Faith-filled, energetic and practicing Catholic with the vision, organizational skills, and knowledge to carry out the responsibilities of the positions
-Completion of appropriate degrees that allow one to hold or obtain within a reasonable period of time a valid administrators certificate from the State of Wisconsin
-Previous administrative experience at the elementary and/or middle school level (0)
