All Saints Catholic Church (Lakeville, MN)
•Comply with regulations and directions for elementary schools as provided by the State of Minnesota and the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis.
•Recruit, interview and make recommendation to the pastor for hiring of teachers, school aides, and part-time teachers for employment in the school.
•Develop and maintain communications among faculty members, students, custodians, cooks, central parish staff, School Advisory Committee, PTO, parents, parishioners, Archdiocese of St. Paul/Mpls., and school district personnel.
•Interpret educational goals and school policy for all of the above groups.
•Assist the parish administrative team in preparing the annual school budget.
•Administer the school budget.
•Hire and supervise substitute teachers.
•Direct the work of the school secretaries, school aides, and part-time teachers.
•Coordinate programming and services with and be a liaison to the public school system.
•Review and approve materials requested by teaching staff.
•Attend meetings that are deemed necessary to role as school principal.
•Coordinate curriculum and schedules.
•Provide for curriculum evaluation and development.
•Work with staff to determine effective curriculum approaches and methodology of teaching.
Supervision of School Programs:
•Visit classrooms to affirm and assist teachers in developing their teaching skills.
•Orient new teachers and other new school staff members.
•Provide leadership through faculty meetings, faculty in-service and other forms of communication.
•Evaluate and discuss evaluation with all staff members a minimum of once a year.
Supervision of Students:
•Provide and demonstrate a caring relationship with all students.
•Know backgrounds, abilities, and special needs of all students.
•Insure the health and safety of all students.
•Direct and support recruitment of new students,
•Direct and support teachers in establishing an appropriate discipline philosophy for the school.
•Direct and support teachers in coordinating students’ activities such as field trips, school service projects, school programs, etc.
•Direct and support teachers in pupil evaluations, assessment, and coordinate parent-teacher conferences.
Work with Pastor, Parish Administrator, formation team, program directors, and staff in total ministry of All Saints Parish Community.
In relationship with the Program Directors, support the organization and administration of the School Program and after school program, including registration, budget, and risk management procedures.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Education & Formation Commission and the School Advisory Committee.
Show support for the parish/school community by regularly attending after hour events.
Masters degree and 2-5 years experience preferred. (0)
