PASTORAL ASSOCIATE FOR IMMIGRANT & REFUGEE MINISTRY
South St. Louis Parish seeks a Pastoral Associate to coordinate Immigrant & Refugee Ministry. Pastoral Associate will work with the Pastor and Parish Staff to coordinate all aspects of our ministry to international immigrants and refugees, including but not limited to: meeting and journeying with the immigrant and refugees who come to our parish for welcome and assistance; coordinating parish and community volunteers; educating parishioners and the community about Catholic social teaching regarding immigration; networking with others in the area providing ministry to immigrants and refugees; and raising funds for the ministry.
Applicant will be a practicing Catholic with a broad knowledge of the resources for immigrants and refugees in the Metropolitan St. Louis area. Previous experience of ministry with immigrants and refugees is preferred. Applicant will have excellent people skills, be proficient with technology, understand budgets and finance, and approach the ministry in a spirit of prayer and service.
Position may be full or part-time, depending on parish and individual needs.
