Christ the King Church and School (Burlington, VT)

Christ the King-St. Anthony Parish is seeking a part-time Parish/School Accountant. This position works closely with the Pastor to manage the annual budget and all accounting functions for Christ the King-St.Anthony Parish and Christ the King School. The individual must have a solid background in accounting and will handle cash disbursements, cash receipts, payroll and bank reconciliation. The individual will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and budget reports. This person must be able to work well in an office environment and must be flexible in assisting with other duties as needed. The Parish Accountant must exercise appropriate initiative and judgment in working independently and with a team.

Job Requirements:

Practicing Catholic in accordance with Canon 874 of the Code of Canon Law.

Skills Needed: Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills a must, working knowledge of QuickBooks and excel, budgeting and analytical experience, payroll processing experience also helpful

The ability to work with mathematical concepts as they relate to auditing and fiscal analysis to include accounting and the budget.
Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred

Associate degree preferred

Citizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required (188)
