We are a Catholic family seeking to hire a full-time, live-in, nanny. Our current nanny has been with us for two years and is leaving to return to college. We have three children ages 5, 3, and 1. We are looking for a someone who loves children and is a practicing Catholic. The applicant should be responsible, patient, energetic, and creative. Job responsibilites include but are not limited to:
daily care of the children: feeding, bathing, helping to dress; food preparation for the kids; children’s laundry; tidying of living/play areas; directing and helping the children to clean after themselves and make their beds; driving of children to activities.
We are going to be homeschooling using a Catholic curriculum and the nanny will be responsible for helping children finish their schoolwork when the mother is not home. The schedule is variable but will be approximately 13 days a month. Mom is a nurse pracitioner in Manhattan and works a variable schedule and is home approximately 2 days a week. Dad is in finance in Manhattan and works Monday-Friday.
We would love to find someone that we can bring into our home and consider an extension of our family. Someone that is excited to be a part of our children’s lives and help form their minds and hearts. Our children are energetic, funny, and stubborn.
This is a live-in position: salaried plus room and board and paid vacation plus some holidays. The nanny will have a private room/space and bathroom. Requirements include: previous childcare experience, at least a high school graduate, drivers license, CPR and first aid certified highly preferred, and should be able to give references upon request.
