MRS – Administrative Assistant Full-time
Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services program is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Administrative Assistant in its Arlington office. The Administrative Assistant provides vital support to the Program Director and Program Managers, ensuring that Program staff can focus on providing direct service to MRS clients. The Administrative Assistant processes vouchers, prepares time allocation records, manages and monitors calendars, assists with document preparation and handling, and monitors and reports on grants. She or he also provides executive-level support to the Program Director and, as needed, to the Director’s senior staff.
MRS carries out the commitment of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to serve and advocate for refugees, asylees, forced migrants, immigrants, and other people on the move. MRS provides assistance to these most vulnerable people through resettlement services, employment services, and educational services – all rooted in the Gospel mandate that every person is to be welcomed as if he or she were Christ Himself.
Job requirements:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree
• At least three years direct experience, preferably in a non-profit setting
• Exceptional planning and organizing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 7.0 or greater
• Direct experience working with a multi-cultural and multi-faith population
• Preference will be given to multi-lingual candidates
