The Archdiocese of Washington is seeking a Manager for the Merrick Center with a minimum two years nonprofit directly related experience.
The Merrick Center Manager will supervise and manage the Merrick Center which includes: Day to day operations, supervision of staff, monthly and annual assessments of the fiscal plan, preparation of annual budget, property management that include inventory, property maintenance, repair, and facility scheduling. Administer agreements, correspondences and hiring of all staff and contractors in accordance with ADW policies and procedures. Also assist with center operations as needed.
The Merrick Center Manager must have a strong ability to relate to people in a pastorally appropriate manner, the ability to multi-task, set priorities and resolve problems and the ability to apply effective interpersonal skills and successfully work with diverse groups. The Manager must demonstrate good judgment in problem solving and decision-making on a consistent basis and be able to successfully organize work and manage multiple tasks/programs, coordinate and plan activities and events, and gain knowledge of local community, community resources, and issues. Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, basic HTML, the Internet and other forms of digital media is necessary. The Merrick Center Manager must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and consistently meet goals and deadlines and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. A Bachelor’s degree (Social Work, Education, Sports Management or related experience) is required. (0)
