LATIN DEPARTMENT HEAD
Education: Elementary, FT Employee
St. Theresa Catholic School (Sugar Land, TX)

St. Theresa Catholic School is a Classical Catholic School ( Pre K 4 thru 8th grade) in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. We are currently looking for Latin Teacher ( Department Head) who will teach extensively in the elementary and middle school grades. The ideal candidate would possess a classics degree/s and be able to teach Latin in viva voce. Latin is the central discipline of our school. Our students make significant strides in Latin, 2nd thru 5th grade, but we are looking for a teacher-scholar who can help develop a Latin program which encourages a high level of Latin fluency and comprehension in our middle school students.

In addition to being an excellent Latinist and teacher, the ideal candidate would also personally embrace the Catholic focus of our institution. If you love Vittorino da Feltre & Thomas More and you have always longed to teach in an institution that celebrates paragons like that vagae moderator summe iuventae, gloria Romanae togae who thought the goal of education to be vir bonus dicendi peritus then St. Theresa might be the school for you. We encourage you to apply.

All interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and three professional references to Ms. Wendy Abraham ( Office Manager) [email protected] . All applicants will be reviewed by the Principal. Interviews will be scheduled when appropriate. (419)
