Journalist – Catholic Education Daily
The Cardinal Newman Society seeks an entry-level journalist to work full-time writing for the online publication Catholic Education Daily.
The journalist will write news articles on a range of issues covered by Catholic Education Daily, including: trends in Catholic education; examples of faithfulness; causes for concern; religious freedom; statements and actions by the bishops and Vatican; and other special announcements.
Writing assignments will require appreciation for and understanding of the issues pertaining to Catholic education; great attention to detail; the ability to conform to the organization’s writing style; the ability to conduct interviews; and the capability to work under deadlines.
Applicants for this entry-level position will have had experience writing for a college newspaper or another news outlet. Some experience with news editing is a plus. An undergraduate degree is required.
Applicants must be very proficient using Microsoft Word. Familiarity with video creation, graphics design, layout, and managing content on websites is a plus.

The position will require working from The Cardinal Newman Society offices in Manassas, VA.
