Serving a key role in the Benefits group, this position is responsible for ensuring data integrity across several systems (payroll, benefits, HRIS), and using this data to contribute to develop of strong compensation system which is critical to attraction and retention of staff. Great opportunity to have a significant impact in a small HR team supporting 8,000 benefit eligible staff.

The HRIS & Compensation Analyst advances the overall goals of the Archdiocesan HR department, managing the HRIS and related actively taking part in other related projects, and providing support for compensation programs. Responsible for improving the accuracy/completeness of HR data and maximizing its usefulness for administration of Human Resource programs including benefits, HR tracking, position classification/salary grades, and organizational planning. Maintains setup and coding of HR database (Lawson) including fields such as job titles, department and process levels, etc. Takes initiative to identify areas for improvement in database management and recommends improvements in processes. Generates and audits various standard and ad hoc personnel reports.

Specific responsibilities include:

Ensure HRIS data integrity using files from multiple sources (Lawson HRIS, IOI Payroll, benefit providers, background verification systems). May also use such files to analyze and audit benefit enrollment and facilitate processing of benefits such as pension and 403b. Coordinates with other offices (e.g., Office of Catholic Schools) for entry or correction of data.

Create standard and ad hoc reports from HRIS (Lawson) and payroll (IOI) as needed, including, but not limited to:
• Staffing Reports, such as Terminations, New Hires, Transfers/Promotions
• Compensation analysis
• EEOC Reports
• Prepares ad hoc reports as directed

Conduct compensation research projects and recommends changes to ensure the maintenance of the organization’s compensation objectives. Assists in developing annual compensation increase recommendations. Periodically reviews compensation reports to ensure consistency in administration of overall pay plan.

Propose and develops new personnel reports for improvements in personnel administration or analysis.
Train new users in Human Resources and other departments on the HR applications of the Lawson Database. May deliver presentations on the HRIS or payroll systems.

Prepare presentations on HR topics for the senior staff as needed for meetings, conferences, and other events.

Maintain Human Resources department website using DNN.
Expert data analysis skills, using MS Excel.
HRIS / Payroll system report writing experience.
Understanding of Compensation systems; experience salary survey participation and analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources or related function, with a focus on compensation and HRIS.
Action oriented approach.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration-related field or equivalent work experience.
Understanding of Catholic Church structure is preferred.
Staff are expected to demonstrate respect for Catholic teaching and principles. (260)
