The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) seeks candidates for the Executive Director of the Office of National Collections.

The position reports to the Associate General Secretary and has a staff of approximately 15.

The Executive Director of the Office of National Collections must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. He/She serves the bishops of the United States and the Committee on National Collections (CNC) by managing and coordinating the overall development efforts of several national collections, and the grant making and all operations of several other national collections. The Executive Director serves as staff to the Committee on National Collections and its subcommittees and is the principal staff advisor to the bishops on matters which affect the charitable activities involved in all the national collections under the direct responsibility of USCCB. The Executive Director represents the interests of USCCB in national collections approved by the USCCB, and serves as coordinating staff for any ad hoc national appeals for domestic and international relief. The Executive Director promotes and implements the Bishops’ strategic plan for the Conference and demonstrates shared qualities of effectiveness in all work interactions.

A Master’s Degree would be preferred along with 10 years experience in a related field. (87)
