Job summary:

The Executive Director is the Senior Operating Officer of the Napa Institute and responsibilities include overseeing a small staff and administering academic conferences to form lay and ordained leaders in the Church.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the fiscal budget including overseeing revenue and expenses, setting of registration fees and negotiating vendor contracts
• Directly supervise Napa Institute staff, with responsibility for recruitment of staff as needed
• Work with support staff to further develop the sponsorship program
• Work collaboratively with staff and the Speaker Committee of the Board to identify speakers and ensure that presentation is delivered in accordance with the defined topic
• Organize regional symposiums in accordance with the Strategic Plan
• Ensure Napa Institute branding is integrated into regional university symposiums
• Ensure that Napa Institute brand attributes, as described in the Strategic Plan and Executive Summary, are maintained at each conference and that appropriate written protocols are developed to train staff
• Work with outside event planner to provide for the social aspects of the conference
• Attend pilgrimage events to ensure that the vendor maintains the quality of the Napa Institute brand
• Stay current with the topics of the day by interfacing with senior officers, Chairman and President, outside vendors, and the Board, Ecclesiastical Advisory Board, and Ecclesiastical Advisor and present topics in a professional and effective manner
• Organizing list of potential target attendees and for communicating with them on a monthly basis
• Travel and deliver presentations to groups of Catholic leaders to familiarize them with Napa Institute (purpose and annual conference)
• Oversee marketing and dissemination of informational articles and publications
• Assist Chairman and President in preparing an agenda and assimilating information for each of the quarterly board meetings
• Prepare monthly report to the Board summarizing current activities

Minimum requirements:

Devout Roman Catholic and is well-formed in the teachings of the Church (199)
