The Center for FaithJustice seeks Catholic men and women as candidates to serve as our new Executive Director. This individual will lead the organization, working with the Board of Trustees to define mission and direction, raising funds to support operations, hiring and supervising staff to achieve goals and objectives, developing strategic relationships to advance mission, and providing administrative oversight to insure proper use of resources.

Essential competencies:

1. Relationship development and capacity to work within community networks
2. Financial responsibility and ability to manage budget and drive revenue into the organization
3. Understanding of mission and Catholic theology
4. Vision to develop organization
5. Supervisory and management skills to implement plan for organization

Personal Attributes or Characteristics:

Attitude and behavior consistent with core values of working within a small organization, demonstrating compassion, dignity and respect in interactions with clients, staff, volunteers, interns, community partners and supporters. Ability to innovate on and execute within a fast-paced environment.

1. Oversee all organizational activities
• Oversee organizational activities including operations, programming, finances, personnel, community relations and fundraising and strategic direction
2. Fund Raising
• Develop a twelve month action plan to expand current fundraising activities
• Review existing grant portfolio and design strategy for expansion
• Develop and maintain personal relationships with individual donors, foundations, public entities and Catholic communities. This includes personal visits, solicitation of major gifts, and stewardship.
• Manage and participate in various annual fundraising
3. Partner with Board of Trustees
• Report to Board of Trustees, subcommittee
• Keep board informed on organizational status and recommend strategy
• Assist board to identify prospects for board membership

4. Supervision of Staff
• Direct supervision of staff
• Establish and keep current policies and procedures for personnel and program areas.
• Set tone and culture for organization
• Schedule full staff meetings and set agendas
• Assure proper supervision of volunteers
• Conduct yearly performance reviews and work with staff to set yearly performance goals
5. Finance & Budget
• Manage organizational budget; monitoring income and expenses
• Basic understanding of mechanics of accounting
• Understanding of organizational growth

6. Strategic & Operational Planning
• Launch and implement strategic planning process with Board
• Develop strategic partnerships with community organizations (0)
