Clerical/Administrative, FT Employee
Black and Indian Mission Office (Washington, DC)
The national Black and Indian Mission Office, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is seeking an Executive Assistant. The successful candidate will support the Executive Director and Mission Office staff in the implementation of programs promoting evangelization and Catholic education among Black and Native American Catholics.
The candidate should be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; candidates invited for a second interview will be tested on these skills). The job includes typing and filing, arranging meetings both in Washington and elsewhere, and coordinating the Executive Director’s travel schedule. The Executive Assistant will also oversee the purchase of office supplies and other items. Because of the Executive Director’s heavy travel demands, the successful candidate must be a self-starter who can follow through on directions received via e-mail and over the phone with little direct supervision. Web literacy is a must, and knowledge of or experience with DonorPerfect Online (or another donor database system) is preferred. Professionalism, people skills and a hospitable attitude are keys to working in this high-paced office. A detailed knowledge of Catholic faith and practices is preferred.
To apply, submit a resume and a one-page cover letter to Rev. Wayne C. Paysse, Executive Director, at [email protected] or 2021 H Street, NW, Washington, DC, 20006. Ph. 202-331-8542. www.blackandindianmission.org.
Deadline for submission: Monday, April 22, 2013. (580)
