EVENTS AND MARKETING DIRECTOR

Guadalupe Radio Network – 1160 AM WMET (Silver Spring, MD)

JOB SUMMARY:
• Work with the GRN Leadership to develop annual plan for events, including goals, objectives and follow-up
• Expand fundraising activities and volunteer participation designed to increase the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of current and new donors and volunteers
• Network with and solicit new sponsors and advertisers
• Work with General Manager to Identify, solicit, recruit, manage and motivate volunteers, including event committee members
• Develop effective working relationships with volunteers, sponsors and Catholic Clergy and other Catholic leaders
• Ensure there are clearly defined volunteer positions and job responsibilities for assigned committees.
• Coordinate appropriate plans with volunteers (including budgets/timelines) for each assigned committee
• Work within approved event budget and ensure maintaining that budget
• Manage and maintain accurate and complete financial records for each event
• Ensure that the logistics and budget/timelines are met for each applicable event
• Conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine the success of each event
• Market and promote WMET 1160 AM including Parish Talks, Events along with utilizing social media and customary methods

• Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
• Strong verbal and professional written communication skills
• Marketing and presentation skills
• Project management skills
• Ability to interact with diplomacy and tact amid influential clients and diverse groups
• Ability to maintain relationships with significant and influential individuals
• Ability to solicit gifts
• Ability to adapt and respond to various situations – Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

The successful candidate must have a strong theological understanding of Christian stewardship and the Catholic Faith.
