The Events and Marketing Coordinator position manages the fundraising events for Seeds of Hope, including Golf for Hope, the Evening of Hope gala, the Hope Springs Eternal luncheon, the Young Philanthropists’ events, major donor thank-you events, and the Adopt-A-Student parties. In addition, the Events and Marketing Coordinator will support the efforts of the development office.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Develop annual plan for events, including goals, objectives and follow-up
• Expand fundraising activities and volunteer participation designed to increase the identification, education, cultivation, and stewardship of donors and volunteers
• Network with and solicit new corporate sponsorships
• Work with the Executive Director to identify, solicit, recruit, manage and motivate volunteers, including event chairs and committee members
• Develop effective working relationships with volunteers, sponsors and key corporate and community leaders
• Ensure there are clearly defined volunteer positions and job responsibilities for assigned committees in partnership with Executive Director; coordinate appropriate plans with volunteers (including budgets/timelines) for each assigned committee
• Work within approved event budget, ensuring expenses are “at'” or “below” budget
• Manage and maintain accurate and complete financial records for each event
• Ensure that the logistics and budget/timelines are met for each applicable event
• Conduct a comprehensive evaluation to determine the success of each applicable event
• Market and promote Seeds of Hope, including events, through social media and traditional methods
• Maintain website and Facebook presence

• Bachelor’s degree plus one to three years successful fund-raising experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church preferred, but not required
• Must have strong experience with special events fundraising, logistics, sponsorship generation, corporate development, and media relations
• Graphic design experience preferred
• Proven ability to meet and surpass attendance and fundraising goals
• Ability to cultivate and maintain long-term donor relationships
• Volunteer recruitment and management experience necessary
• Bright, outgoing personality with excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must be highly motivated, flexible, and proactive; strong time and project management needed
• Must be extremely detail orientated and have the ability to multitask.
