GENERAL SUMMARY: The Director will promote the mission and goals of the Center, offer leadership to the staff, strategic management, and evaluation of programs and staff in completing tasks through teamwork. All functions are implemented with Franciscan values.
Promote the mission, philosophy and goals of St. Anthony Spirituality Center.
Live and support the Franciscan values as laid out in the Mission, vision and values of St. Anthony Spirituality Center.
Responsible for providing a place and atmosphere for spiritual development, offers opportunities for prayer experiences, retreats, spiritual direction and religious opportunities for persons of various faiths, and provides a setting in which local, national, and global issues can be discussed in a Christian environment.
Create and offer innovative approaches to healing, teaching and praying that draw others of various ages into the fullness of life.
Develop and implement policies in conjunction with the St. Anthony staff and the Board.
Develop and implement strategic planning, collaborative leadership, program integration, community relations and fund development in conjunction with the Board, staff and committees.
Collaborate with Board of Directors and administer the budget for St. Anthony Spirituality Center. Reviews the monthly budget report and inform the Board of any anticipated significant budget variations.
Participate in performance reviews by the Board and pursues continuing education opportunities to enhance job performance.
Provide ongoing supervision and support for the St. Anthony staff and volunteers. Interview prospective staff, supervise, evaluate, and develop the St. Anthony staff and collaborates with the Board on Human Resources, orientation of new staff members, on-going benefits and payroll processing.
Assess operations of the Center and oversees maintenance of the facilities and buildings.
Oversees various communication programs, i.e. newsletters, reflections, etc.
Provides a ministry job performance evaluation for each staff on an annual basis.

Education and/or Experience
Knowledge of theology or ministry with course work in spirituality and scripture at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Master’s degree.
Professional work experience demonstrating managerial and organizational skills required.
Leadership abilities in planning, administration, support, community organizing, and /or empowerment.
Interpersonal/relational skills in communication, collaboration, and group process.
Awareness and implementation of gift discernment process.
Background in Servant Leadership would be valuable.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to develop a budget to meet the needs of the planning objectives.
Ability to use computer programs required for the positions i.e. Microsoft office package, excel, powerpt., publisher and Spirituality Center database.
Ability to use database as required by the position.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form.

This position requires flexibility in hours of work; ability to be available in an emergency situation. There are regular evening meetings and weekend events. Attendance at meetings related to the ministry will necessitate time away from the office.
The person in this position is directly accountable to the Board. A member of the Board serves as a liaison between the committees along with the Director or member of the staff.
