St. Edward Parish, Jeffersontown, Ky., is seeking a Director of Worship and Music. Three weekend Masses rotate an adult choir of 70 and a youth choir of 23 along with many talented cantors and musicians. The Director would manage our very active Worship Committee’s liturgical planning process. The parish includes over 1,400 families, a pre-school through 8th grade school, a growing Latino community, and a Resurrection (funeral) choir.
We are looking for a spiritually motivated practicing Roman Catholic (preferred) with a vision of quality Roman Catholic liturgy, having keyboard and vocal skills, a broad knowledge of various musical arrangements and styles, and good communication skills to continue a vibrant worship program with a variety of liturgical experiences. The Director would be a part of a large pastoral staff/team facilitating our parish mission: We welcome, We love, We serve.
Experienced applicants should have strong leadership skills with a Masters in Liturgy or Music, preferred. Experience leading various age-level choirs and a variety of music required. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and Archdiocesan guidelines.
