The Diocese of Sacramento has an immediate opening for a full-time Director to oversee the operation of the Tribunal Office. This position is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Marriage Tribunal. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the work of all paid and volunteer staff, maintaining fiscal controls and the department budget, and overseeing document and information management and case flow. In addition, this position will serve as an auditor/assessor or if a degreed canonist, will serve as a Judge or Defender of the Bond.
At minimum, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and have significant experience (3-5 years) in the administration of running an office which includes responsibilities in general administrative management, human resource management, budget planning and policy development. Applicants with a JCL degree in canon law and/or previous experience working as a Judge or Defender of the Bond for a Tribunal Office are preferred.
