The Director of Student Health Services is an eleven (11) month position that reports to the Dean of Student Development and Counseling. The Director provides leadership and direction to the Student Health Services department on a primarily residential campus, supports the mission of Assumption College, delivers high quality health care, and promotes a wellness model of education outreach to students, including advising a dynamic peer education program, Peers Advocating Wellness for Students. The Director works collaboratively with other departments within the Student Affairs Division, as well as other College constituents, to develop and promote health education programs and activities for students. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the College as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption College.
Minimum requirements: Certified as a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner and licensed as APRN in the state of Massachusetts, with demonstrated experience promoting a wellness model of education. Preferred: experience in a post-secondary health services program. Candidates must have the ability to function independently in a clinical atmosphere for students and demonstrated experience in providing health educational outreach.
