Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena (Allentown, PA)

A full-time Director of Religious Education (DRE) is needed at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena Parish in Allentown, PA.

The Cathedral Parish, with approximately 1900 families, is looking for a dynamically orthodox Director to coordinate the Religious Education program for the parish and serve as the religious curriculum coordinator for St. John Vianney Regional School which is located at the parish. Applicants should be committed, practicing Catholics, faithful to Church teaching and the Magisterium, with a clear understanding of the Catholic faith and with the skills to evangelize and catechize children from K to 8th grade in the joy of the Gospel. The DRE is responsible for organizing and implementing all aspects of our program including curriculum, catechist training, parent formation, sacramental preparation, liturgical participation and assisting with adult formation. At least an undergraduate degree in theology/religious education from a Catholic college or university is preferred. Some teaching and administrative experience along with facility in Spanish would be helpful.
