St Francis School is a private, Catholic school serving children in Preschool through 8th Grade. St Francis School seeks a full-time, year round Director of Recruitment and Development. This position oversees Marketing, Communications and Development. Efforts of the role are directed both internally to retain current enrollment and externally to direct recruitment and marketing initiatives, resulting in increased new enrollment annually.The Marketing component of the role is to augment recruitment efforts and support awareness of program offerings in the community year round. Development of an annual marketing plan as well as brand enhancement through community events and outreach are main components of the role. This person is also responsible for taking the school’s alumni program to the next level of engagement. Additional expectations include budget management of marketing initiatives and media relations.
In addition, the Director leads a team of staff and volunteers in planning, designing, implementing, and analyzing all fundraising activities of St Francis School School. The Director is responsible for the coordination, expense management and volunteer support functions for the Gala & Auction, occurring annually each Spring. The hours and schedule for this position can be flexible especially since the Director would be required to chair and attend numerous committee meetings.
Work with the Principal, Pastor, key staff and board members to design, implement, and effectively communicate strategic initiatives and marketing plan to increase enrollment.
Lead a team of staff and volunteers
Coordinate gift solicitations by Principal, Pastor, School Advisory Council members and key stakeholders and provide training as appropriate
Work with staff and volunteers to ensure the success of the annual auction, donor recognition events, alumni activities and other initiatives
Build and maintain meaningful relationships with staff, parents, alumni and friends of St Francis School
attention to detail, and excellent discretion in handling confidential information related to admissions and finances
Ensure that projects, budgets and initiatives are completed in a timely fashion
Understanding of and a passion for the mission and vision of St Francis School
Three to six years of professional development and/or marketing experience in progressively responsible positions, a proven track record in marketing, major gift fundraising, and supervision and leadership of a development team in another non-profit is expected
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex ideas in a meaningful way. Experience and credibility when presenting materials to external audiences
Ability and proven track record to create, lead, and evaluate a team in a collaborative fashion
Occasional evenings and weekends,are required for this position
Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required
