The Diocese of Pueblo seeks a dynamic and results-oriented finance professional with extensive hands on experience in finance and transaction services. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for leading a staff in planning, organizing, and coordinating the fiscal activities for the Diocese.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have experience in budgets, forecasting, and comprehensive annual reporting As well as thorough knowledge of internal controls, liability insurance and risk management, accounts payable, receivable and payroll, and financial audits. A thorough knowledge of religious not-for-profit or governmental accounting standards is required, specifically in the areas of pronouncements, financial accounting standards, and generally accepted accounting principles.
The well qualified candidate will possess Bachelor degree with major coursework in accounting, finance and or public administration. Master’s degree preferred. Current CPA license desired. 10 years experience in accounting and fiscal operations, with 5 years being at a supervisory level in a government or not-for-profit organization required. Experience in payroll and accounting software such as; ParishSOFT software, PDS, Fundware or comparable. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who is highly organized, able to multi-task and works well within all levels of an organization.
Compensation for this position will be based on experience.
