The Director of Development, Segura Educational Initiative for Children supports the efforts of the Offices of Catholic Education and Advancement. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term plans for Catholic school development in support of the Segura Initiative and all related stewardship and recognition activities. Additionally, the Director will provide hands-on guidance and expertise in forming viable fundraising efforts for diocesan schools with Hispanic communities and will work closely with the Office of Catholic Education, Office of Hispanic Ministry, Principals and Development Personnel. The Director of Development will report to the Executive Director of Advancement (EDA) and work closely with the Chief School Administrator (CEA) to ensure success in meeting all fundraising goals related to the Segura Initiative of the Diocese Richmond.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with 3 or more years of demonstrated development experience, especially with educational institutions is preferred. Extremely strong communication and organizational skills are necessary. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. Catholic in Good Standing and a solid knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Church and its teachings as well as Hispanic culture and traditions are preferred.
