Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, located on the Eastern Shore of MD in the town of Easton, comprises the parish, two mission churches, a high school, an elementary school and a variety of ministries. The parish seeks a full-time Director of Development who is a strategic thinker and proactive fundraiser, responsible for planning, management and execution of all development and fundraising communication activities. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about all aspects of fundraising and must have an understanding of Christian stewardship and the Catholic faith. The Director of Development will have bottom-line responsibility for meeting fundraising targets and establishing the strategies to meet both annual and long-range philanthropic goals. He/she will have an understanding of and demonstrated track record in securing major and planned gifts. Reporting to the Pastor, the Director of Development will work closely with the Finance Committee, coordinate the Development Committee, and supervise one staff position. Minimum qualifications include: B.A. required; minimum of five years direct fundraising experience, preferably within a parish setting. CFRE certification preferred. Strong interpersonal and management skills and experience in marketing and fundraising communications; volunteer management experience; budget and donor database systems experience. Knowledge of e-marketing and social media strategies preferred. Salary range: $65,000-$80,000 depending upon experience.
