The Development Director personally represents Catholic Assocation of Latino Leaders and inspires potential benefactors to support CALL’s work. The Director of Development will be responsible for creating and implementing the development strategy for CALL. Reporting to the President/CEO, the Development Director will be responsible for achieving CALL’s fundraising goals and building CALL’s constituency with members and non-members.


• Share the mission of CALL and the joy of our Catholic Faith with members and benefactors
• Provide strong, innovative leadership and work selflessly to help forward CALL’s mission
• Create and implement the annual development plan and strategy; maintain a database and provide statistics to the President/CEO upon request
• Schedule and conduct visits with donors (travel is to be expected); attend CALL events and community events for cultivation of donors
• Lead and manage the site’s overall development efforts to raise an annual budget of $400,000 or more
• Train and lead other staff to support fundraising and marketing efforts
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate & foundation sponsors, and individual donors
• Manage CALL’s Sponsorship program, which includes identifying and securing Conference Sponsors, and engaging them in ongoing opportunities for giving
• Write grant proposals and reports to corporate and private foundations
• Develop and grow CALL’s individual donor base; manage annual giving campaign; cultivate major donors
• Develop and manage Board fundraising capacity
• Meet regularly with the President/CEO; attend staff meetings

Education: Bachelor’s degree

• Thorough understanding of and identification with the CALL mission
• Experience in fund development in a service industry or a non-profit; experience with grant writing and corporate sponsorships is a plus
• Proven track record of achieving fundraising targets and grants
• Proven management and leadership capabilities
• High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Strong verbal communications skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and thorough understanding of strategic development
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, cultivate, and manage new accounts
• Strong partnership-building skills
• Good computer skills and knowledge of database programs

Compensation: Total compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
