Responsibilities:
Plan/direct College counseling programs under supervision of the Vice-Principal, Academic Affairs and in collaboration with the counseling department to include but not limited to:
•Provide individualized college and post-secondary transition counseling to all members of the senior and junior class
•Arrange college admissions visits to campus and communicate opportunities to student population
•Plan and implement a Decision Making unit (college/career info) for all 10th grade students
•Maintain library of college and career information, both print and digital
•Plan/organize SAT/ACT/PSAT prep workshops
•Work with the Learning Resource Specialist to support students and families needing information about colleges that serve students with learning differences.
•Chair the Scholarship Committee
•Manage all communications about the college counseling program to the broader school community

Minimum Qualifications:
•Master’s degree
•Minimum five years of experience in college admissions and/or high school college counseling
•Familiarity with the expectations of an ambitious, college-bound high school population
•Familiarity with highly selective admissions to nationally recognized universities
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to use technology and to incorporate it into daily responsibilities.
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
•Familiarity with Naviance data management system, the Common Application, and other digital admissions resources
•Current membership in professional associations, NACAC and WACAC (340)
