The Diocese of Venice in Florida is accepting applications for the position of Diocesan Director of Catholic Education. The Director is responsible for the administration, financial and managerial aspects of the Department of Education; this includes the supervision of the Director of Catechesis, President of Blessed Edmund Rice School of Pastoral Ministry and the Director of Youth and Young Adult Outreach. The Diocese of Venice in Florida covers ten (10) counties of Southwest Florida with fourteen (14) Catholic Schools (10 elementary schools, 3 high schools and 1 special need school).

The ideal candidate will have the knowledge, skills, theological education and experience to provide leadership commitment to Catholic identity, religion curriculum, staff formation and will demonstrate strategic, organizational, interpersonal and exemplary oral and written communication skills. The selected individual must be faithful to the teachings of the Catholic faith and a practicing Catholic in good standing.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related fields and at least 8 to 10 years in School Administration, with a preference in Catholic schools or Diocesan Office.
