Job Posting: Parish Secretary/Director of Operations & Administration

Saint Catherine of Siena is seeking a full time Parish Secretary/Director of Operations. This position reports to the Pastor. This job requires an experienced office manager who can communicate with staff as well as parishioners. Must have a familiarity with the Catholic Church and possess the social skills and compassion for handling difficult personal situations in a pastoral setting. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. The individual should have the ability to multi-task, organizational efficiency and demonstrate proficiency in MS Word & Excel. Experience with Parish Data Systems software is helpful.

Job responsibilities include appointment scheduling, coordination and scheduling ministerial activities; supervisory oversight of several ministries; agenda preparation for staff, steward and admin meetings; staff representative at quarterly pastoral council meetings: maintenance of sacramental information; scheduling baptisms, weddings, funerals and other sacramental activity and coordinating the same in-house; interaction with diocesan staff and coordinating and scheduling facility usage.
