DEVELOPMENT SECRETARY
Clerical/Administrative, FT Employee
Little Sisters of the Poor (Washington, DC)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Knowledgeable of Home’s operation, donation policies and procedures
•Master and fully utilize all computer programs available to development office
•Accurately process and record all donor contributions, both computerized and hard copy back up
•Acknowledge In-Kind donations
•Coordinate and follow-up with church collections
•Write monthly acknowledgment letters and mail all correspondence
•Timely and accurately prepare accurate receipts and logs of all donations. Organize checks and cash for deposits
•Prepare deposits along with respective reports, including a monthly report of all received funds
•Organize volunteers to assist with mailings, and training and supervision of all volunteers in the development office
Professional Qualifications and Attributes:
•High school diploma
•Basic bookkeeping and office procedure knowledge
•Computer literate with word processing knowledge
•Maintain the strictest confidence regarding all information inherent in the day to day operations of the development office
•Meet fluctuating work situations and work load, use time well
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
•Computer fluency in MS office, web applications, and knowledgeable about electronic communication in fundraising
