Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary (Wynnewood, PA)
Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA is seeking a Dean for the Graduate School of Theology & Program of Catholic Studies (GST), to begin in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Candidates should exhibit a personal zeal for Jesus Christ; a love for the magisterium; and a strong sense of mission rooted in the new evangelization and a desire for Church renewal. Candidates should have a PhD and at least 3 plus years of experience in academic administration. Candidates should have very strong skills in verbal and written communication, motivating colleagues and students, organization, budget preparation, developing and implementing goals, managing resources, strategic planning and demonstrated creativity.
The Dean is responsible for staffing, overseeing budget, and setting academic policies. The Dean must have the ability to improve school programs and curriculum, monitor policies and procedures, and organize offerings of adult catechetical formation.
Candidates must demonstrate prior teaching excellence and be practicing Catholics. They should have a strong sense of the dignity and importance of the lay vocation within the larger Church community. The successful candidate will make a profession of faith and an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
The Graduate School of Theology at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary serves a primarily non-seminarian population, providing Catholic Theological education at all levels, from non-credit catechesis to graduate work. The school provides programs for educators, those involved in parish ministries and the general public. Additionally, through its online programs, the Saint Charles experience is made available to the universal Church. GST is accredited by the Middle States Commission of Higher Education and by the Association of Theological Schools.
