Requirements: Liturgy Training Publications has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized and educated Copy Editor & Project Development Coordinator. Candidate should have a college degree, preferably with a major in English or Journalism. Recent graduates, or those about to graduate with a comparable degree, would be considered. Candidate should be able to copy edit according to Chicago Manual of Style as well as manage and prioritize various projects, possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to move all projects through production process accurately and sometimes simultaneously. Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and computer proficiency is essential; must know Microsoft Office Suite with XML and HTML knowledge a plus. Candidate must demonstrate understanding, respect, and support for Catholic Church teaching and values. Spanish language skills, both written and verbal, a plus.
Description: The Copy Editor & Project Development Coordinator position functions as the project manager for all resources in production, both those to be outsourced and those to be handled internally. Coordinating with the Media Production staff, this position works to ensure that all projects move through the production process accurately, helps maintain schedules and coordinate product flow, assists with sign off on proof copies and/or checks that corrections are completed, and offers problem solutions related to production issues and schedules as needed. Copy editing will also be required for certain projects and this position must work to ensure that all projects maintain LTP’s quality and brand identification.
