Job Duties:
The Coordinator assists the Director for Catechesis in the mission of the Office for Catechesis to teach the faith in light of the New Evangelization. Specifically, the Coordinator is responsible for promoting, and coordinating the implementation of the adult catechetical formation programs Living Catholic and Faith Foundations (in English and Spanish) to all parishes in both the online and in-parish formats, through constant communication, including parish visits, with those in leadership positions at the parish level.
Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for support of Spanish-language catechetical programs. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting Spanish-speaking parish catechetical leaders with the RCIA process and compliance and implementation of the policies for parish catechesis.
The Coordinator oversees catechist formation and certification in collaboration with the Events office by offering adequate training opportunities for parish catechists to grow in their faith and more confidently implement the archdiocesan curriculum.
Other areas of responsibility include: oversight of the annual Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion and the bi-annual Archdiocesan Catechetical Day.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Religious Education (or related), or marketing. At least two (2) years of experience in parish catechesis or evangelization. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong marketing skills and experience. Candidate must be knowledgeable of and committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church, as well as evidence a spirit of discipleship for the New Evangelization.
Advanced skills with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Must be able to learn and work with web-based software systems. The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing is essential along with excellent organizational and people skills.
Bilingual English/ Spanish verbal and written skills. Valid driver’s license and vehicle required.
