COORDINATOR JR. HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL RELIGION PROGRAMS

Applicant must be a faithfully practicing baptized and confirmed Catholic, self-motivated, energetic, a team player with good social skills and organizational abilities; must possess computer skills and a working knowledge of social and electronic media.
St. Mary’s follows the EDGE and Life Teen model of faith formation for its seventh through tenth grade students for the Fall/Winter term. Each program ministers to roughly 100 young people on a weekly basis from September thru March. The EDGE and Life Teen coordinator is required to recruit and train volunteers for St. Mary’s Core Teams; plan and execute EDGE (Wednesday nights) and Life Teen (Sunday nights); and oversee the spiritual development of the young people and families in the program. It is required that the new hire be willing to go for EDGE and Life Teen training unless already trained.
The Summer Program (SP) ministers to approx. 270 young adults in grades six through ten for a one week Summer term. The coordinator is required to recruit and train volunteer catechists; plan and execute the SP curriculum; and oversee the spiritual development of the young people and families in this program.
The Coordinator of the EDGE/Life Teen and Jr. High/High School Summer programs will work directly with the Director of Family Faith Formation but also with the parish’s Youth Minister.
