Coordinator for Young Adult Ministry & Pastoral Juvenil

The Diocese of Sacramento seeks an innovative, creative, enthusiastic, bilingual bridge-builder to create, direct, and maintain ministry to young adults (women and men, married and single, in college and in their twenties and thirties) within the diocese, and serve the parishes of the Diocese in the outreach and evangelization to, and pastoral care and faith formation of young adults. Job responsibilities include regional and diocesan-wide events and trainings, consulting with parish staffs, and close collaboration with the Youth Ministry, Campus Ministry, Pastoral Hispana and Vocations offices. Candidate must have good verbal and written skills in both English and Spanish. Ideal candidate will also have at least a Bachelor’s Degree with formal training in ministry, pastoral ministry and/or catechesis, 5 years’ experience as a leader in a parish context, a good understanding of Pastoral Juvenil Hispana and Hispanic Movements, experience in ministry with college students, single adults, and young married couples, the ability to work nights and weekends, and a good understanding and/or experience working for the church in California.
