Fullness of Truth (Kingwood, TX)
Fullness of Truth Catholic Evangelization Ministries (“FoT”) in Kingwood, Texas (Houston suburb), is seeking a full-time Conference Director and Coordinator to plan, organize, promote, and run all aspects of our conference events, primarily including our quarterly regional events, but also our smaller parish-based events. Most of our events are in Texas, but we also are working to expand our ministry to Louisiana and, possibly, elsewhere. The ideal candidate should be in (or willing to locate to) the Houston area, but we will also consider qualified candidates in the DFW Metroplex.
The Conference Director reports to FoT’s Board of Directors, is responsible for organizing, motivating, and supervising the many volunteers who help with our conferences, and is responsible for managing and growing an annual organizational budget of $250,000.
The Conference Director is, in many ways, the face of our organization and, besides coordinating our conferences, is also responsible for creating and generating visibility and building relationships and partnerships with parishes, parish staff, volunteers, and Diocesan officials and staff.
FoT’s Conference Director must have the following skills and personal attributes to successfully manage the daily conference planning operations:
•Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Catholic faith
•An evangelist’s heart and understanding
•Excellent time management skills
•Excellent computer and Internet literacy
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
•Experience (or at least familiarity) with faith-based volunteer programs
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mobilize, work with, and motivate others (mainly volunteers)
•Ability and willingness to work occasional weekends and travel by car to our conference sites both before and during the conferences
•Ability to think strategically, understand budgets, and work efficiently and economically
•Willingness to commit at least three years to the organization.
