The Province of St. Mary of the Capuchin Order (White Plains, NY)
The Communications Manager will report to Development Director and be responsible for a wide variety of communication activities for the Capuchin Development Office which include but are not limited to:
•Plan, research, write, edit, and coordinate the production of the Development Office’s quarterly magazine
•Analyze Raiser’s Edge Database to determine segmentaion for mailings
•Maintain the Development Office’s portion of the website
•Maintain and edit the Province’s Facebook and Twitter pages and explore other avenues for the Province in the world of social media.
•Develop communications materials including planning, research, writing, editing,art directing,printing, and distrubution (brochures, displays, feature articles,flyers, video scripts)
•Contribute to media relations efforts by developing and maintaining contacts with various media representatives
•Assist in the Direct mail efforts by drafting and editing letter copy.
•Collaborate with other Communication offices in the Province and Friars to collect and create articles or other communication pieces
•Assist as needed for the overall efforts and mission of the Capuchin Development Office
•Bachelors degree in Communications or related field
•Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
•Demonstrated writing skills in various formats(articles, reports, speech writing)
•Demonstrated presentation skills using PowerPoint or similar formats with interactive inclusions such as video or internet connectivity.
•Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of on-line communications, including web-site management, social network site management, web mastering, and the transfer of documents, photos, videos, etc between and among these various platforms.
•Must be able to work in both a collaborative team setting and work independently on specific time-sensative projects.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
•Raisers Edge knowledge a plus
